We need people who understand the importance of effective project planning and controls and are ready to commit to working in the business, whilst also committing to a 4 year degree programme. It is an opportunity to contribute and experience project planning in each of the business sectors. During years 1 and 2 of the degree you will study core degree modules. In addition you will work closely with work-based mentors to enable you to apply your academic knowledge within the work context. You will learn how to schedule projects and track project performance. You will develop knowledge of project planning techniques and procedures and gain practical experience of SAP and P6 planning/project management systems. Years 3 and 4 are designed to develop higher level cognitive skills and enable the continued integration of knowledge, professional competencies and transferable skills. You will provide input to Integrated Project Teams meetings to answer questions concerning project planning and be able to co-ordinate activities with other related areas of the business to support the planning process. You will further enhance and develop your operational skillset to enable you to take ownership of your own project planning portfolio. The final positions will be within the Planning Function in Edinburgh. What will I learn?
