Salary: £21,500 per annum
Employer: Republic of Media
Closing Date: Sunday 18 June
We are looking for ambitious individuals who have an interest in the advertising and media industry - particularly digital media and advertising - looking to establish a career in media planning and buying, culminating in a role as a Digital Media Executive. You will receive on-the-job and external training and develop a range of skills to enable you to excel in this exciting industry.
At Republic of Media, we’re freethinkers - working with clients to deliver media effectiveness and manage transformation. Born in the digital age, we are the fastest growing media agency in the UK and were voted Star Agency of the Year 2022 at Marketing Society Scotland Star Awards. With offices in Manchester and Edinburgh, we are inventors and creators, combining talent and data to produce results. It’s a brave new world and anything’s possible.
You'll work in our Edinburgh city centre office in a team of 8, with a dedicated line manager and a mentor. For the first 6 months, you will be required in the office 5 days a week for training and to optimise your opportunities to learn from others in the team. Thereafter, you will be able to work hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
What might a day in this role look like?
What will I learn?
This role provides a 12-18 month structured Training Programme. You will learn the fundamentals of digital media planning and buying through on-the-job learning as well as training courses through the Institute of Practitioners for Advertising (where you'll earn a certificate) as well as training through proprietary ad platforms such as Google and Facebook.
What qualifications/skills are required?
You’ll have a degree level qualification (or equivalent) or work experience, or you’ll have a demonstrable interest in the digital advertising and media industry that would make you suitable for the role. A proficient level of English and Maths is also required. Your positive attitude, creativity and ability to communicate verbally and in writing are more important than your CV. You should have an interest in digital media and the role it plays in consumers’ daily habits.
