You will be part of a dedicated and friendly team at our Edinburgh Central Youth Hostel and will provide cleaning and housekeeping of guest accommodation and public areas, including bed making on upper and lower bunk beds and turning over beds, to a very high standard. This is a part-time position, working up to 25 hours per week.

The role is based at our Edinburgh Central Youth Hostel, which is a newly refurbished VisitScotland accredited 5-star hostel, situated off Leith Walk. You will work with a dedicated and friendly team who will assist you with undertaking your role. This is a part-time position, working up to 25 hours per week.
What might a day in this role look like?
You will provide cleaning and housekeeping of guest accommodation and public areas, including bed making on upper and lower bunk beds and turning over beds to a very high standard and to our Covid safety standard operating procedures.
What will I learn?
Comprehensive induction and work related training will be provided. You will gain relevant skills required to undertake cleaning and housekeeping. In addition, you will learn about team working, customer service, time management and organisation skills which are transferrable to other jobs. You will also have opportunities to develop your career within hospitality and to move to other roles within the hostel, such as reception, Food & Beverage etc.
What qualifications/skills are required?
Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience, preferably in similar hospitality surroundings would be advantageous but not essential. You should have:
