Based in our office at Abbeyhill, your duties will include preparing technical drawings, compliance with internal drawing standards and procedures, and completing various mechanical services test certification. Age 16-24 preferred. Knowledge of using AutoCAD and Relux software would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.

We design, install, maintain and manage all aspects of property services within the electrical and mechanical contracting industry.
 
Environment:
 
The role will be office based and working as part of a small team at Abbeyhill.
 
What might a day in this role look like?
 
Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • preparing technical drawings
  • co-ordinating with engineers to produce as built drawings
  • compliance with internal drawing standards and procedures
  • completing O&M Manuals in accordance with CDM regulations
  • undertaking lighting designs of common stairs, offices etc using Relux software
  • completing test certification within the BS 7671 guidelines
  • completing various mechanical services test certification (gas certificates, pressure test certs, drainage certs and ventilation certs)
  • compiling forms/spreadsheets on request of engineers/line managers.
 
What will I learn?

  • Industry related training / qualification (MS Office / AutoCAD / Relux Lighting Design Software / Customer Service)
  • Soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem solving, etc).
 
What qualifications/skills are required?

  • Higher or equivalent which should include English / Maths / Computing
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject would be beneficial but not essential
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft packages
  • Self-motivated, positive, reliable, enthusiastic
  • Age 16-24 preferred.
