Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months
Salary: £4.81 - £6.45 per hour

Based in our garage in Newtongrange, you will undertake a variety of administration tasks and learn how to provide excellent customer service, develop productive working relationships with customers and colleagues, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You will work towards SCQF Level 6 in Business and Administration.

Meadowfield Garage in Newtongrange is a family run garage providing maintenance, servicing, repairs, diagnostics and MOTs for private and commercial vehicles.
 
Environment:
 
Garage based in a small but experienced team who work in a fast-paced environment.
 
What might a day in this role look like?
 
Tasks will include:
 

• Meeting and greeting customers
• Managing the garage diary system
• Booking appointments
• Processing orders
• Ordering products and services
• Processing payments/invoices
• Storing and retrieving information.

 
What will I learn?
 

• SCQF Level 6 in Business and Administration
• Develop productive work relationships with customers, office staff and garage/workshop teams
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Provide excellent customer service
• Effective management and accuracy of administration systems.

 
What qualifications/skills are required?
 

• 16-19 years old
• Some previous work experience in a customer service or administrative role is an advantage
• Friendly, polite manner
• Reliable and adaptable
• An excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
• Willing to learn and up for a challenge
• Prepared to work hard and support an overall team.
