You will work with a team of engineers and other professionals in the engineering consulting industry and will be involved in the drawing, development and design of a wide range of civil engineering works, with day release for college.

Our primary business is the provision of Civil and Structural engineering consultancy services, supplemented through specialist Divisions, including Planning and Development, Geotechnical and Environmental, Traffic and Transportation, Ports and Harbours, and Water Services. This multi-disciplinary service approach provides a 'one stop shop' to Clients in the development and construction sectors.
You will be based in the Edinburgh office, working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday with day release for college. As a civil engineering apprentice technician in Fairhurst, you will work with a team of engineers and other professionals in the engineering consulting industry and will be involved in the drawing, development and design of a wide range of civil engineering works. This will typically include roads, pavements, drainage, earthworks and structures to deliver civil engineering projects.

What will I learn?
The Modern Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering will run over a three year period, during which time you will undertake a supervised programme of training and college day release which can lead to Technician (EngTech) Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineer (ICE).
What Qualifications / Qualities are required?
You should be studying towards or have achieved Higher or equivalent in Mathematics.
