What might a day in this job look like?
Aethic would like to appoint a Project Manager who will manage a new product development project involving three partners of which one is Heriot-Watt University and the other a manufacturing process developer and five sub-contractors. The development is of personal care products starting with a novel compound (active ingredient), new other ingredient formulations, testing these for humans and environmental impacts and culminating in a final product ready to enter the market.
The project requires following a number of parallel works streams in great detail and not ‘dropping the ball’ with a diplomatic approach to chasing other senior expert people to complete their tasks on budget and on time.
What will I learn?
You will study towards achieving a BSc (Hons) in Business Management 1 day per week at Heriot-Watt University (remotely if required) whilst being a key member of the AETHIC team with primary responsibility for the successful completion of an 18 month project that is key to the growth of the company. The role will then progress to more of a marketing and business development centred role.
