We are seeking a highly motivated and conscientious Apprentice who is interested in working in the development team in our Edinburgh Technology Hub. This apprenticeship will give the successful candidate a practical introduction to the software development lifecycle as a Software Tester in a FTSE 100 investments and savings firm, whilst providing early exposure to a range of technology experiences.

Based in our office at South Gyle, Edinburgh, you will work 35 hours per week.
What might a day in this job look like?
The Apprentice will be working within cross-functional teams to deliver Quality Assurance across multiple features and projects within the M&G plc. Testers advance the QA community through sharing of best practice, mentoring others and leading the scenario definition, writing scripts and executing testing both manually and where possible via automation.
What will I learn?
Software and Web Development (SCQF Level 6).
What Qualifications / Qualities are required?
As a minimum, candidates will have 5 National 5s with good grades in Maths and English (A-C). Alternatively, you will have 2 years of work experience in financial services industry or customer services.
