(If eligible, interns can remain on benefit or access a college bursary) Employer: Edinburgh Project SEARCH Closing Date: 12 noon on Monday 28 April This programme aims to prepare young people with disabilities aged between 16 and 29 years for full-time, competitive employment. You will take part in 3 x 10-week internships with the host employer (Edinburgh Council and Virgin Hotels Edinburgh or NHS Lothian) over 38 weeks, gaining 600+ hours of work practice. You will acquire competitive, marketable and transferable skills, and build communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. The programme starts in August 2026 and lasts for one academic year. Salary: National Apprenticeship Wage Employer: Carousel Training Centre Closing Date: We recruit all year round You will be employed full-time in a private nursery and we have a number of vacancies available across Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian. You will be involved in helping children with their learning, development and growth in a stimulating environment. You will undertake SVQ Social Services (Children & Young People) at SCQF Level 7. The role will involve planning stimulating activities suitable for children’s development and meeting the physical, emotional and developmental needs of individual children. You will work towards SVQ Level 3/SCQF Level 7 Social Services (Children and Young People). |
